Fun Challenge Part 3

10 Cubs, 4 Leaders, 3 dogs and a selection of parents and family all from Manannan Cubs completed the Raad Ny Foillan Fun Challenge Part 3 on 6^th December 2009.  This route took us from the Old German Railway Station to Glen Wyllin along the Raad Ny Foillan, the weather was good apart from the wind,  everyone set off shortly after 2pm, along the way we all had to negotiate through the mud and boggy parts of the walk some of the Cubs just walked straight through the mud and bogs, the Leaders were however a bit more sensible and tried to avoid it, but didn’t with most of the Leaders going up to their knees in water, everyone enjoyed this but no one lost any boots or fell over.  The last stretch of the walk was on the beach but when we got there the tide was right in and it was decided we would have to finish the last bit of the walk on the road, the hike finished at 4.30pm and everyone had a good time on the walk.  Manannan Cubs have now completed the Raad Ny Foillan Fun Challenge with some of the Cubs doing all 6 of the walks, all these Cubs will go to a special party in January, all Cubs who went on this walk will be able to get the hikes away badge.  Well done to all those who showed up yesterday.
