Dropping Off at the Scout Hall

Parents should always ensure that when dropping off Beavers, Cubs or Scouts to the hall, that Leaders are actually present in the building. Our Hall is often used by other organisations before our meetings and just because the lights are on and the door is open doesn’t mean a Leader is in the premises.

Recently a Section was out on a hike, but two youth members who didn’t know the hike was on were dropped off at the Scout Hall, which was lit up and open, as another organisation was just finishing up. There were no Leaders in the premises as they were with the rest of the Section hiking. Luckily parents were able to be called for the two members and they were collected.
