Scouts from both Troops together with Leaders, parents and a multitude of dogs took part in the third section of the Raad Ny Foillan Challenge from Blue Point to Peel, a distance of 17 miles. The first nine miles were along the beach and the weather turned nasty at about lunchtime with heavy rain coming down and no shelter. Luckily this only lasted an hour or so. The remainder of the hike took us along the disused railway line to Peel in bright sunshine. Well done to all those who took part. The next Section is on the 21. June 2009 and goes from Peel to Port Erin. Find out more about the Raad Ny Foillan Challenge at www.manxscouts.com.
