GROUP SUBSCRIPTIONS

Subs are now due for the period 1. September to the 31. December 2009. Sub Forms are available from Section Leaders or can be downloaded from this website here.

 

GROUP AWARDS NIGHT

Our Annual Group Awards Night is this year being held on Friday 9. October 2009, starting at 7.30pm, at the Scout Hall. Various Trophies will be presented during the night including: Best Cub Scout, Best Six, Best Scout and Best Patrol. Section Leaders will be informing their members as to who has been nominated for each Award. All members and their families are welcome to attend this Oscars based Awards Night.

 

PIG RACE NIGHT

This year’s Pig Race Night is being held at the Scout Hall on Friday 6. November 2009. It’s always a popular event and tickets go very fast. Make sure you get yours early when they go on sale in October.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION

The Scout Association – Isle of Man, is holding a Photography Competition, open to all members on the Island. There are two classes one for Youth Members and one for Adult Members and the theme is ‘Scouting in Mann’. The closing date is the 30. September 2009, so get your entries in as soon as possible. WORLD SCOUT JAMBOREE

The Island will be sending a party of Scouts to Sweden to attend the 22nd World Scout Jamboree in 2011. Around thirty thousand Scouts from all over the world will be attending. To be eligible to apply, Scouts must have been born between the 25. July 1993 and the 27. July 1997. There will be an open evening at our Scout Hall for all those interested in taking part in the Jamboree on Tuesday 13. October 2009, from 7.30pm, parents are also invited to attend.

We have in the Scout Hall Cloaks Area an LCD Monitor showing photos from various activities and camps members of the Group have been recently involved in. Next time you call into the Scout Hall, have a look to see some of the things we at 2nd Onchan get up to.
