Cubs Training Weekend

Ten Sixes & Seconders from Manannan Cubs along with four Leaders stayed at the Scout Hall for a training weekend, the afternoon started with a tracking exercise down the glen, followed by a couple of wide games.  Then it was back to the Scout Hall for some games and a walk down to Happy Valley for a camp fire and we cooked our food on some disposable BBQ’s.  After everyone had eaten enough and sang enough songs around the fire, we walked back to the Scout Hall to play some new Scouting games that we hadn’t played before.  After everyone was tired after these games we sat down to watch some films on the big screen.

The next morning the Leaders were woken very early to the Cubs playing football. Once the Leaders woke up properly, breakfast was served and we looked at preparing the flag for Flag Break and Flag Down, followed by a game of Danish Long Ball. A few other games continued before we had a review of the weekend, and said our goodbyes before everyone was picked up.  A great weekend was had by all.
