Cubs Movie Night

Around 40 members of 2nd Onchan's two Cub Packs took part in the film night over the 24/25th November. During the night we played a few games before settling down with hotdogs & popcorn to watch a couple of films. Bed time was a late one with some Cubs not getting to sleep for quite a while. On Sunday most of the Cubs and Leaders were up by 7am but a few Cubs had to be woken by the Leaders and there was a a lot of sleepy heads. It was a great weekend had by all and we look forward to holding another film night next year.

Tesco Sports Vouchers

We are collecting Tesco Sports Vouchers, so if parents have any, please let any Section Leader have them. Tesco have now stopped giving out vouchers for this year, but the ones we have collected so far will be 'banked' and will be added to those we collect next time the scheme starts.

Remembrance Sunday Info

On Sunday the 11. November 2007, it’s Remembrance Sunday, the day we remember all those who gave their lives defending their Country and the way of life we enjoy.

Our two Cub Packs together with the Scout Troop and the Explorer Unit will be joining with the people of Onchan to Parade from the Manx Arms Hotel to St. Peters Church, where a Service of Remembrance will be held. Afterwards we will be parading to the War Memorial on Main Road, where a short Open Air Service will be held.

We will be meeting at the Manx Arms Carpark for 09:20. Full uniform, including Scout Activity Trousers and shoes, is to be worn. Please bring a coat with you in case of inclement weather. The Open Air Service at the War Memorial will finish at about 11:10 from where you can be collected.

Please make sure you do your very best to attend this important Parade.
